ONLINE is Regional Training’s Employability Skills program that delivers trainer-driven sessions that closely resemble face-to-face interaction in a classroom PLUS interactive, self-paced learning and assessment via our Online Learning Management System.

Employability Skills Training (EST) gives people of all ages the opportunity to enhance their employability through two different blocks of targeted training. Participating in training will help you understand the expectations of employers in both the recruitment process and as an employee in a new workplace.

Training block 2 will focus on job preparation and will equip young people with advanced job hunting skills, career development, interview skills and the opportunity to participate in Industry Awareness Experiences.

COURSE CONTENT:

 Identify growth occupations in the local labour market
 Identify career pathways in an industry and setting career goals
 Identify entry-level requirements for industry including the entry pathways
 How to assess personal suitability for a particular job
 Planning and organising a job search
 Writing and updating résumés.
 Writing cover letters and addressing selection criteria
 Identifying common recruitment methods used in occupations of interest
 Online job application skills and techniques

Our training facilities and resource materials have been designed to provide a hands-on experience for students. Using a mix of accredited and non-accredited units students learn in a simulated work environment linking the theory to practical tasks in up to 4 different industries.
